From our South Wales launch sites you may fly over the Usk Valley, Brecon Beacons or the spectacular Sugar Loaf Mountain and views of the Cats Back on the Black Mountains.

There is also beautiful Wye Valley with its traditional local pubs and the amazing Tintern Abbey.

We often fly near the market towns of Abergavenny and Monmouth.

Other beautiful locations include Raglan Castle

Llanggfd Reservoir, White Castle, Hay-on-Wye, the Blorange and the Kymim.

Near the coast Wales has beautiful locations such as Castell Coch near Cardiff and Caerphilly Castle.

The personal touch

Bailey Balloons is a family business run by Jo and Clive, who do everything they can to make your flight truly personal. We usually fly in small groups for intimate occasions but we can easily cater for larger parties. Although most of our flights take place early evening or dawn, we can also make alternative arrangements if required.

Balloon Flight times 

The actual hot air balloon ride lasts about one hour, but the whole experience, from setting up the balloon to drinking champagne on landing and returning to the launch site, takes three to four hours. We usually meet one hour after sunrise and three hours before sunset when the winds are calmest, but we will confirm these times when you book your flight.

We have a variety of ballooning locations in South West England and South Wales.You can fly from launch sites in Bristol - the ballooning capital of the world - Bath and various sites in South Wales, over views of some of the most beautiful towns and countryside in Britain.

A flight for special occasions

You should be able to fly on the day you choose, but if the weather's unsuitable for flying, we might have to reschedule your balloon ride for another date. We fly up to 14 times a week so there are plenty of flights to choose from.

The ballooning experience

First, we meet you at the launch site where you can help us prepare for take-off. During the hot air balloon ride you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the views and take pictures. After landing, you can enjoy a glass of chilled champagne, beer or other cold drink before we take you back to the launch site. If required, we can also arrange a meal as part of the package.

Buying a flight voucher 

If you're buying a balloon ride as a gift, our vouchers are valid for up to 12 months and we can present them in a gift box with a helium-filled balloon.
